Ireland to top euro zone growth table this year and next - 04/11/2014
The Irish growth rate is expected to be 4.6%, compared to an EU average of 1.3% and a euro zone average of 0.8%.
It is also in line with the most recent Government forecasts of 4.7% for 2014 and 3.9% for 2015.
The surge in growth has taken EU officials by surprise, since the Commission's spring forecast predicted a growth rate of just 1.7%.

SFA calls for new 10% capital gains tax for entrepreneurs - 13/10/2014
The chairman of the Small Firms Association, AJ Noonan, has called on the Government to ensure that risk-takers and workers are supported in Budget 2015 to deliver much needed growth to the Irish economy.

Government outlines plans to create 93,000 new jobs - 09/10/2014
A new plan to create 93,000 extra jobs from start-ups over the next five years has been unveiled by the Government.
The initiative aims to increase the number of start-up firms by 25 per cent through measures such as doubling the volume of funding available to them from angel investors.

Value of M&A activity jumps 450% on pharma deals - 08/10/2014
The value of buyouts involving Irish companies jumped by a whopping 450 per cent this year on the back of several high-profile tax inversion deals in the pharmaceutical sector.
