Technology companies Covali and SiliconCloud have announced a merger, which will see the new company base its headquarters in NexusUCD in Dublin.

Covali was established in 2010 and specialises in cloud-based business analytics and resource planning for companies.

SiliconCloud, meanwhile, is focused on search engine optimisation and marketing services like content management and social media engagement.

The merged company will retain the SiliconCloud brand and will see Covali CEO Noel Shannon become its chief executive. Patrick Murphy, who founded the original SiliconCloud, will become chief marketing officer.

Mr Shannon said the merger will allow them to combine the expertise of both sides, while its relocation to NexusUCD will give it access to a “vast talent base” as it continues to grow its business.
