Tech company to create 150 jobs in Dublin

Calypso Technology is to set up a Managed Services Centre in the capital.

Financial services software developed by San Francisco-based Calypso Technology is currently used by 34,000 market professionals, in 180 financial institutions in over 60 countries.

The company already employs 700 in its 20 offices around the world.

The positions will be in business, technical analysis, quality assurance, and application support.

In a statement, Calypso Senior Vice President Keith O'Brien said the company was very excited to be launching the initiative.

The investment is supported by the Department of Jobs through IDA Ireland, which said it adds to a growing cluster of financial technology companies basing themselves here.

While also welcoming the announcement, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton said the sector had been targeted under the Action Plan for Jobs.
