The new jobs will be in the areas of technology and digital specialisation and are part of the company’s bid to improve its IT infrastructure.
The new roles will include senior and specialist roles in technology, digital, web and social media including IT Architecture, Digital Product Management, Demand Management and Innovation and Web and JavaScript Development.
The company has made the move to expand its workforce in response to the demand for skilled IT professionals, particularly within cloud-based services. Last August, Vodafone announced a €7million investment to provide new data centre services for its business and public sector customers in Ireland.
Madalina Suceveanu, Chief Technology Officer, Vodafone Ireland said; “Technology is rapidly advancing and technology- rich services and solutions have become an essential part of our customers everyday needs. In order to maintain our leadership position and deliver a world-class telecoms infrastructure and a superior product for our customers, we must continue to invest in technology, our digital platforms and in our people.
“This is a great time to join Vodafone, when the company is pioneering a gigabit society for Ireland and where the latest technologies are being leveraged to provide our customers with an excellent web and mobile experience. Vodafone is committed to developing our people and providing opportunities in an innovative environment where digital and analytics are at its core.”
