Two Irish companies have announced plans to boost their workforces.
Telecoms firm Eir is hiring 100 staff to join its team involved in the rollout of high-speed broadband across the country.
The roles involve a variety of skills including poling crews, cabling technicians and fibre splicers.

Digital firm SoftwareOne announces 100 Irish jobs and €16m investment - 21/09/2016
SoftwareOne set up an office in Mahon in County Cork in 2011, and the majority of the new roles will be based there.
The company provides consultative advice for corporates on the latest digital trends and had revenues in excess of $5bn last year.
SoftwareOne is seeking to hire front end developers, test engineers, user experience experts, as well as HR professionals as part of its Irish expansion.

US pharma firm Aerie to build Irish manufacturing plant - 21/09/2016
Further investment in Ireland's pharma sector is on the way, after US firm Aerie Pharmaceuticals raised an additional $125m in stock market sales, with some of the proceeds earmarked for the construction of a manufacturing facility here.
The plant is expected to serve international and US markets for the $1bn company.
